I'm currently reading this on a 27-inch 2560x1440 monitor [1]. At a typical viewing distance, it's around 35 ppd. This is perfectly fine for me, and I would imagine most other people as well (it has a 4.8-star rating on Amazon). You can see a little bit of pixellation around the edges of text, but I don't really notice unless I'm looking for it.
Nobody, except for display geeks, is going to care that the Apple Vision Pro is only 35 to 40 ppd. And most would probably be willing to concede that the ability to take as many monitors of whatever size you want everywhere with you is worth the tradeoff.
