I see 128GB of non-ECC 3200MHz at 389 USD[1] and 128GB of ECC 3200MHz at 575 USD[2]. Not really twice, it's more like 1.48 the price. The RAM cost has actually come down. It used to be 700 USD for the ECC and like 500 for the non-ECC at these specs 6-8 or so months ago. Maybe they're coming down with the greater adoption of DDR5.
3200MHz is not the fastest when compared with non-ECC DIMMs, but it's not _very_ slow either, is it? When searching "ddr4" on Amazon, most of the first results are at this speed.
