in Ask HN: Best way to transfer 2TB of data between 2 Win 11 PCs with USB C?, a direct reply to the story

I have one of these

https://www.amazon.com/USB-C-USB-Windows-Transfer-Cable/dp/B...

which is insanely fast (much more than SFTP over Ethernet) but I haven't seen one with USB-C plugs.

What Amazon says

Ideal for PC Migration: Powerful USB data transfer cable for moving files and folders from your old computer to your new computer, no matter Windows-to-Windows, Windows-to-Mac, or Mac-to-Mac. No need for any cloud storage, network sharing, or external hard drive. Simple Old-to-New with this cable and the correct software
USB 3.0 File Bridge Performance: This USB 3.0 cable supports data transfer speeds up to 5Gbps. Faster file migration than USB 2.0 or cloud uploads when used with compatible USB 3.0 ports. *NOTE: File and folder transfer only, NOT for apps or system; Actual transfer speed depends on both computers, storage drive speed, file size, software mode, and system performance
*Important Software-Required NOTE: This USB 3.0 data transfer cable is Software Required, NOT Plug-and-Play. Install the included transfer software with this USB data cable (PClinq5 or Easy Computer Sync) on both computers first, then connect the cable to both PCs for use. NOT a plug-and-play USB cable or standard USB-A to USB-A cable
*CHOOSE Right Included Software: This pc to pc data transfer cable includes access to two software options with no subscription or extra purchase required. **For YOUR SETUP: 1# PClinq5 for Windows and macOS transfers, no registration code needed. 2# While Easy Computer Sync for Windows-only transfers, but with extra features like drag-and-drop file transfer and remote computer control, with ITS registration CODE printed on your cable
Setup Tips for Best Results: For smoother setup, download and install the software from our Cable Matters download page on both computers, plug this USB 3 cable directly into USB-A ports instead of hubs or docking stations, and run the software with administrator privileges if needed. Installed programs cannot be transferred and should be reinstalled. **For more step guidance, refer to the manual with your cable
